Good dragon, I like the blue and grey markings. He looks like he's singing.

That is such an awesome picture, such a great dragon, it's a real pity that the overlap marks from colouring with felts are so visible. They detract from it so much that I was really quite surprised to find a high quality drawing attached to that dreadful sky.
Seriously - I know there are people who manage to colour smoothly with prismacolour markers. Damned if I know how they do it but you need to find one and torture them until they reveal the secret. Because until you /do/ know that secret, I would suggest avoiding using markers for any good pictures to avoid sabotaging them like you have here.
As for the state of this picture, I would suggest photoshop. Smooth it out. You're obviously extremely talented. Don't let the vagrancies of markers drag your creations down!

:-) Cori E. R. Trout replies: "Thank you for your detailed and well-thought comment! Part of the problem is the paper I used for this picture. Bristol tends to suck markers dry, especially when used for large areas. There is marker-specific paper that I have recently purchased and tampered with, which actually allows for better belding of the markers as the paper has a somewhat waxy surface that lets the marker "stand" a moment before being absorbed. I haven't had the time to play with it much yet due to time restraints (school, work, and life in general), but sometime in the near future I'm going to try and get a good handle on markers.
Thank you again for your comment!"

This is beautiful, I can't believe you drew it. Definetly deserved the mod's choice.

It looks like it's dancing and singing. Wonderful pose.

As for the comments about what exactly the dragon is doing I'm going to go with the obvious choice here and say roaring... ferociously I'd wager. To the artist, I love your idea of what a dragon looks like. Everyone has their own take and I must say I love yours.

it does deserve a mods choice. but one more thing i would like to see is more color.maybe he would be pretty RaInBoW ~`~`~

:-) Cori E. R. Trout replies: "Thankye. She is a friend’s character, so I don’t really have control over the character’s markings and color, but I think that simple can often be better when it comes to color and design. Personal opinion, of course."

Love the pose and dragon!!! do u use copic markers? appartently they are very good but expensive. there like perminent markers but with a larger colour range and u can go over and over on one spot and it doesnt wreak the paper.

:-) Cori E. R. Trout replies: "Thank you! No, I do not use Copics, they’re a bit expensive for my budget. This image was done using Prismacolor markers. More recently I’m moving towards using Tria markers, which are quite awesome and sit between Prisma and Copics in quality.

The type of paper you use makes a big difference too, this is on Bristol Board, but I’ve recently moved to using some "Bleedproof" paper made by Borden and Riley, which is awesome to work with."
