SciFi and Fantasy Art: The river's daughter

This is the main character of my story. She's the personification of the Nature, she's the queen of the 'legend's world'. The river is her mother. I painted this one four years ago with paints for scale models. The white creature is driving her to her throne.

Makes me think winter. I like winter. Very peaceful. THe creature looks like a 'gental giant' sort. Well done!

1 Marlčne Blanc replies: "Yeah! Thank you! This creature is not "really" a winter's creature but you're right it seems to be..."

It's interesting, the texture of the fur. I was wondering how you created it. I'd guess that you used oil paints, which I'm not familiar with, but if you used watercolors perhaps you could have caused the shaggy bottom bits of fur by hesitating in your brush strokes. Um, could you describe your technique for me?
Another thing, I love how a bit of the beast is reflected in the water/ice! Pretty, pretty.

1 Marlčne Blanc replies: "Thank you!!! But I didn't use oil paints neitherwatercolors for my paintings...I love working with paints that you could find in little pot: These paints are for the miniature models. If you want more details about my work or material, email me 2Bye and thanks again for your comment!"

OOO, And..um...ooo. What about Neleggro (Ne-leg-row)?
I thought of that name last night actually and was going to save it for the perfect thing!
OOOO!

1 Marlčne Blanc replies: "Hey! that's a good idea too!! My choice will be difficult: Falsofur...Neleggro..."

MODS CHOICE!
How come I'm just hearing about this now?
YAY YAY YAY!
Congrats! And I love this picture it kinda reminds me of a pretty white mammoth! OOO, OOO, could I print this? You see I'm making a book of art for my friend's birthday, and she loves elephants, horses, dogs and that but this is like a mix of it all. I was wondering could I put it in with full credit to you? Copywrite and all? You DON'T have to say yes.

1 Marlčne Blanc replies: "Sure Hannah! There's no problem,You can print it for your friend. It's an honnor for me to be a mod choice (I couldn't believe it when I saw it)and I'm really happy that you choose my pic for your friend's birthday's book!! That's already nice to ask me permission!! I'd just ask you to put my name under this painting. That's all I ask you...Thanks Hannah for your kindness!"

the furry thing looks cute and nice to pet. I wish I could touch it's fur. I bet it gets hair in it's mouth when it eats though. I see it has no name, so I will call it Falsofur (condesnsed falling-soft-furr)

1 Marlčne Blanc replies: "Thank you!! Well that's an Idea (and a good one)...Falsofur...Maybe I'll call it like this...Who knows...And yeah! This creature have a problem when it eats (lol) But that's shown in my story with a humoristic scene!! Thanks again for you idea and don't hesitate giving me other names if you find some! 2"

*stares for hours and hours, then falls over*
Beautiful! I love the colours you've used here. It's cool how the background and the creature look cold and icy, but the lady looks warm.

The way you've designed the background, the characters, and coloured this painting... it all looks great. And I really love how you've got the creature looking like its made of both water and fur. Nice effect!

13 Marlčne Blanc replies: "Thank you very much Sophie! I'm glad you like it!I'm glad you noticed the contrast between the icy atmosphere of the palace and the warmth that gives the river's daughter! That's very important in my story! Thanks again for such a good comment!!"

Looks more like she's riding than driving or being driven.
